Firesales and The future of Online MarketingThe last Firesale I advice my subscribers about stirred up a lot of emotions. Both happy and angry. For the happy people out there, you’re welcome! And for those not finding this firesale or the owners of it to be fun in any way, or me for that matter for promoting it my thoughts are …
Why does anyone sell anything?
To make a possibly long answer short, in most cases one sell stuff to earn money (or to gain something like signups).
Why allow so many to buy (devaluating the products)?
I actually thought the same a couple of years back. I wanted to be the only one in the world buying this one amazing product, so that I could promote it as mine and earn a lot of money. Back then I did what most people do, buy and store, buy and store. I had big plans for every purchase but in the end, I spent hundreds if not thousands of $ each month in products I would sell or use to earn money.
They now sit on my harddisk and gobbles up some 78Gb of space!
So, does it matter that 300, 500 or even more people buy a firesale package with over 100 products and possibly compete with you in the future. Now when the scorecards are on the table my answer is, no. I’ve been buying RR, MRR and PLR products monthly for years now and when I finally started to get them online and selling, I often searched the net for competition and in almost every case did I not find any (or not more than a handful of other marketers actually doing something with the products).
You Want Unique, High Quality Private Products?
Pay to have them made and never give anyone any rights!
RR, MRR and PLR products are Marketing stocks!
It’s like wall street all over again. Online Marketers buy and sell different rights products in bundles, in packages and there’s a large market for this now. It’s up to you to take one of them and actually get it up onto a web server with a payment link to make it do something. Are firesales with oodles of products sold at very low prices ok? Should it be allowed. That actually is something the creator of the product puts into the rights that come with the product. And if you have RR, MRR or PLR and free pricing and can bundle the products and adding it to a firesale is permited, well, then one can do it.
Most of the “fast products” as I call them sailing around on the net now (shorter type of guide often focused on niches, hyped techniques, popular themes and making money) should not be taken as the answers to all questions nor are they complete guides or courses that will teach you everything you need to know about something.
They are more like the popular guide and tips book for big cities when you travel. Oh, here’s the top 10 casinos in Las Vegas or The best Cantinas in Barcelona. The content may not be $1000 material but for most people they bring value thanks to their low price.
Firesales are here to stay for a long time as they work. And I’m not especially alone in promoting this one as the top 20 list in promotors are a who’s who in internet marketing (and no, I’m not in the top 20) but is it something good or bad, it’s up to you to decide what you think and act accordingly. I for one will continue to provide information about products and services I think people among my subscribers can find valuable. But there will always be different opinions about things.
I would like to end this by saying that I welcome thoughts and questions from my subscribers. You may not agree with what I say, think or do and that is ok. And it is ok to say that to me as well.Kenth Tags: firesale, rr,mrr, plr, subscriber, marketing
